About Julie

I believe the sweet spot between big picture thinking and the details is where successful fundraising strategy is born. My experience in fundraising, finance, and board leadership over the past decade is the underpinning for my practical and creative approach to consulting. I lean on generative questions to help reveal new paths forward to long-term fundraising success.

I have significant fundraising campaign experience across all areas of the nonprofit sector, with goals ranging from $1 million to $300 million. Just as others have pushed me forward in my fundraising career, I am committed to investing in the future of our profession. I served as a Charter Board member and Vice President of Programs for the Association of Fundraising Professionals - Advancement Northwest Chapter, am a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), and earned a Certificate in Fundraising Management from the University of Washington. I teach emerging nonprofit leaders as a member of the adjunct faculty in the Master of Nonprofit Leadership program at Seattle University.

Fun facts about Julie:

  • I was the fourth generation of my family to be born and raised on Whidbey Island.
  • When I’m not working, you will find me running after my toddlers.
  • In my younger days, I was a collegiate cross country runner and completed two marathons.
