I am passionate about achieving societal equity through wealth redistribution and capacity building.
I began my career in the trenches of the nonprofit sector as an AmeriCorps member, tasked to build organizational capacity. During my two years of service, I gained a strong understanding of the logical steps required to develop and measure impactful programs while both on-the-ground providing direct service and, in the office writing grants and developing tools. Since then, I’ve applied a community-first, capacity building framework throughout my nonprofit career, emphasizing cross-department collaboration and sustainability no matter what “hat” I was wearing.
I am an empathetic problem solver. Not only am I energized by and curious about the opportunity a problem presents, but I also approach the challenge of solving it by hearing the unvoiced questions. As a consultant, I use my skills as a trained advocate and communicator to effectively navigate nonprofit dynamics. I believe grant writing is a strategy that enables organizations to continuously improve in service to their community, and my goal is to help organizations fulfill their mission through abundant funding.
I joined Ostara in 2020 and am eager to support the incredible work in our community. I am a member of the Puget Sound Grantwriters Association and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
