About Alaina

I have honed my expertise in grants, operations, finance, and research at several nonprofit and philanthropic organizations in the Pacific Northwest. From this experience, I’ve grown to understand the complexities and systems involved in both grant-making and grant-seeking. I bring this perspective into each grant proposal that I work on, and am dedicated to supporting long-term programmatic impact through sustainable funding.

My role at the Ostara Group is to carefully listen to the needs of our nonprofit clients, and deliver thorough and thoughtful grant research, writing, management, and strategy in their own language.

Fun facts about Alaina :

  • I lived in Morocco for a year during the Arab Spring Revolutions of 2011, and learned to speak and write in Arabic.
  • I’m passionate about the arts and have acted onstage, sang mezzo-soprano, danced, played piano, and written poetry and short stories.
