Katie Searle (she/her)

I specialize in supporting nonprofits and cultural arts organizations focused on equity, survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, children and families experiencing homelessness, youth aging out of foster care, and under-represented communities. I choose work that serves women and children, focuses on accessibility and diversity, and emboldens under-represented communities. As a consultant, I work with a diverse roster of organizations throughout the Northwest: Washington, Oregon, and Utah, with an emphasis on organizations and funders in Southwest Washington and Oregon.

With over 10+ years of experience in grant research, technical and grant writing, nonprofit consulting, grant management, editorial, small business administration, and as a certified mediator and an empathic ally, I deliberately share my skills and work in partnerships that support vulnerable populations with compassion and care. Although an outsider of your organization, I passionately dive in—championing your work, standing with, upholding, and advancing your values and mission.

When we collaborate, I seek to know your organization and services inside-and-out. This familiarity with your goals and values allows me to paint a picture of your needs and your strengths in an authentic and precise way. My background in publishing and mediation allows for compelling storytelling that appeals to a funder’s priorities, so they are confident that the funding will advance impact and their own cause. From start to submission, I write with both heart and data, demonstrating mutual needs and impact that can be realized through the joining of forces—grantee and grantor.

My goal is to provide the tools and services you need to work towards your mission and prepare and empower you to carry forward successful grant efforts in the future. I am excited about the prospect of joining grant-forces, so you can focus on direct-service to your clients, those who need your attention most.
